Thanks for the clarification. In my quest to review a number of sites at one time, I rushed through the process without reading carefully. My all-time favorite nonprofit is at www.rmr.org.

Just to clarify: It's easy to avoid getting those Care2 messages you mentioned, if you don't want to receive them. Just uncheck the sign-up box, when you send the e-card.

But many people like those Care2 email alerts, which are all about good causes, and ways to make the world a better place, often in partnership with well-known nonprofit groups. You also can choose which causes you care about, so the emails you get are only about those causes. Care2 makes it easy to unsubscribe at any time, with a link right there in the email.

Glad you liked the e-cards. Here is my personal favorite:

Hi Paula,

Since you were kind enough to note Fancast in a previous post about all the content on Fancast, we wanted you to be among the very first to know that a new and improved Fancast is launching (later today!) - and it's one we think you and your readers will really enjoy. We will, of course, have the same great content (thousands and thousands of hours of free full length TV programs and movies) but they come in what we think is a much better user experience.

Everything from...
*a new video player
*an embeddable player
*a new movie page
*a new trailers page
*a new clips page
*ability to get/send email alerts to remind you when a TV show or movie is on so you will never have to miss it
...those are just some of new features we are launching.

We heard your suggestions and we made it happen.

We are looking to have everything perfect for just after Labor Day, but, as a Fancast veteran, we wanted you (and your audience) to be among the first to tell us what you think about the new Fancast.

We are very serious about reacting to the ongoing feedback we get, and we think you will be pleased with the new version. But we're not done yet. Take a look at the changes we made and please let us know what you think, and if there's anything we can do to improve it even more.

We are listening to you.

Thanks,
Robin (for Fancast)

Would you be interested in writing about my site, Speechable.com?

Some photos just scream for a speech bubble. With Speechable.com, you can add speech bubbles to any photo easily, without photoshop, and then link, share or comment on them. No registration required. You can even recaption other people's photos.

Normally, to add a speech bubble to a photo, you need a program like Adobe Photoshop and usually requires several steps. Speechable makes it super easy. To use Speechable, upload a photo, then select a balloon and add text. Use the buttons below to resize your font, and resize the balloon by clicking its lower right corner. Grab the top line of the balloon to move it.

There is nothing sweeter smelling than the wet loam of fresh turned soil, YUM! I'm up to my elbows in horse tails and even though it gets frustrating to have to keep on top of them, it is the best excuse I have to get outdoors. Maybe listening to the Osprey and hawks while I'm weeding helps, too! I have found the myeasygardening.com website to be a fairly decent resource, too.
